Book summary
The Secret Garden tells the story of Mary Lennox, a lonely and spoiled orphan who is sent from India to live with her uncle in a large, gloomy house in Yorkshire. While exploring the grounds, Mary discovers a locked, neglected garden and secretly begins to restore it with the help of her friend Dickon and her sickly cousin Colin. As the garden slowly comes back to life, the children themselves also grow healthier, kinder, and happier.
