Tras la ensima mudanza por culpa de su madre, una artista incapaz de quedarse demasiado tiempo en el mismo sitio, June White llega a Laguna Beach, California, y tiene que volver a empezar de cero.

Para ella, que en las fiestas prefiere quedarse encerrada en una habitacin viendo documentales de true crime en Netflix, hacer amigos no es fcil… y da por hecho que esto va a volver a sucederle ahora que es la chica nueva en el ltimo curso del instituto. Todos, menos James Hunter. James, guapo y misterioso, encarna la definicin clsica del “chico malo” con un pasado oscuro y tormentoso que no hace ms que alimentar su leyenda. Es imprudente y grosero, y vive al lmite. Personifica todo aquello de lo que June debera mantenerse alejada. After yet another move caused by her mother–an artist incapable of staying in one place for too long–June White arrives in Laguna Beach, California, and has to start over once again.

For someone who would rather lock herself in her room watching true crime documentaries on Netflix than go to parties, making friends has never been easy. And she assumes that, as the new girl in her senior year of high school, history will repeat itself. But, against all odds, she instantly clicks with her new classmates, who make her feel welcome. Everyone except James Hunter.

James–handsome, mysterious, and the classic definition of a “bad boy”–has a dark and troubled past that only adds to his legend. He’s reckless, rude, and loves living on the edge. He is everything June should stay away from. And yet, there’s something about him that stirs conflicting feelings within her, pulling her in with an irresistible force.
