Book Summary

Julius Caesar is a historical tragedy that dramatizes the conspiracy against the Roman leader Julius Caesar and its aftermath. Although Caesar is a central figure, the story mainly follows Brutus, a noble Roman who joins other conspirators, including Cassius, in plotting Caesars assassination out of fear that he may become a tyrant.
